Do you know that you can now change from sub-domains like ".blogspot.com", ".wordpress.com", ".wapka.mobi" etc. to a better domain for #0.00? Bloggers who are into real blogging for success know why it's always not advisable to continue to use the subdomain provided by your blog provider. Today, you shall be learning some Easy-made step by step guide on how you can get a free domain.
All thanks to freenom.com. I came across this free offer very lately, and I decided to share it with bloggers especially newbies.
I did some research before I can now finally refer this free domain registrar to you. As per my research, freenom is a reliable domain registrar like GoDaddy, Domainking and so on. They also have contact support in case there's an issue you'd like to raise. Their domain registration is very simple and easy to set up.
In my research, below are some testimonies by some users of Freenom:
Or do you still wonder what a domain name is?
A domain name is simply the name of a website on the Internet that ends with some group of letters known as extensions.
Now, let's get started:
Step 1 >>> Go to www.freenorm.com or click here
Step 2 >>> In the box provided, enter your preferred domain name. Then click on "check availability". Allow the page to load, then click on the domain extension you'd like to choose the available free domain, then "continue". Here, I choose "www.studynlove.ml".

Step 3 >>> Select the expiry date you want the domain to last. (the maximum for a free domain is 12 months equivalent to 1 year). Don't be scared, you can still renew the same domain for free again and again.
Step 4 >>> Beneath the new page, you'd be asked to provide an email address for verification. Enter a valid and active email, as the verification link would be valid for 24 hours.
Step 5 >>> Open your mailbox and click on the verification link. The link would take you to a new page where you can enter your information like name, city etcetera.
Step 6 >>> Don't forget to check and tick the small box as seen below, then click on continue the order.
You just successfully created a free domain name. Note the order number given to you in a notepad for future use. Then click to go to the client area.
On to blogger
===> Log in to your blogger dashboard and go to Settings >> Basic. Click on "set a third party domain".
===> Enter "www.yourdomain.com" and save. It should display error with 2 CNAMES. This is exactly what you need.
===> Note the second security tokens somewhere (one short and one long), or if you know how to copy paste very well.
Now, back to freenom client area
Step 7 >>> In your client area, click on "manage freenom DNS."
Step 8 >>> Here, you need to provide 6 records, for a successful redirection without "www". So, click on more records to add up to 6.
The information in each record are given below:
Name Type TTL Target
www CName 1000 ghs.google.com
Short CName 1000 Long code
@ A 1000 216.239.34.21
@ A 1000 216.239.34.21
@ A 1000 216.239.36.21
@ A 1000 216.239.38.21
Step 9 >>> Fill in the above information. Change the short to the short security token of your blog, and the long code to the long security token.
Step 10 >>> Wait for a minimum of an hour and maximum of 24 hours. Then go back to your blogger and set up your third-party domain to the free domain. Then save.

ReplyDeletecan you get adsense approval with .tk?
ReplyDeleteAs long as the adsense publishers do not state that they don't approve blogs with ".tk" domain extensions, the blog should be approved if it meets the requirements.
DeletePls I really need help here. Am done with the domain order proceeding to client area, but where I have problem is that i have not seen manage freenom DNS.
ReplyDeleteAs it is clearly shown above, click on the "manage freenom DNS" to continue the process.
DeleteBut in case freenom changed its design, find where you can edit "DNS" or use "Ctrl + F" to find the DNS settings.
