How To Link Facebook Account Or Page To Twitter, And Vice Versa [updated]

To link a Facebook page to your Twitter account means you want all your Facebook activities to appear on your Twitter tweets automatically. This tip will be very useful for you to get many likes for your facebook page (if you link a Facebook page to your twitter account) or more followers on your personal profile.

If you watch my Twitter account well these days, you should observe some tweets that are automatically tweeted from Facebook. Here is an example:

The link in the image above automatically appears when you write an update that is more than Twitter tweet characters (140 characters). When anyone clicks on the link, it takes him to your Facebook account (or page, if you had linked it to a Facebook page).

With this, you can easily get more likes on your facebook page directly from twitter.

In one of my previous posts, I explained how to create a Facebook fan page. So, in case you would like to link a Facebook page, and you don't have yet, you can do so first. So anytime you post on the Facebook page, it will also appear on Twitter account automatically. ==> Go to www.facebook/Twitter or click here.

A web version of Facebook will open ( even, if you are using Mobile) If you are logged in, you will see the pages you admin and a link (link to twitter) in front of each page.

If it’s your personal profile that you want to link, click the link to twitter in front your Facebook account name.

==> The link you clicked in the previous step will take you to a page where you will authorise the app (if logged in to twitter account) or you can sign in and authorise the app.  You have just linked your facebook account/page to your Twitter account. ==> Click on the account image on the twitter home page.

==> Select "settings and privacy".

==> Click on connect to facebook and connect.

How To Get Friends Engaged In Your Facebook Posts

When friends are well engaged in your posts, they don’t think twice before they tap the “like” button and leave an excellent comment. Getting friends engaged can also help you get many followers automatically.

In my old post, I discussed the Top 5 Reasons Why People Don’t Like or Comment On Your Facebook Posts. One of the reasons I did not mention is because you don’t get your friends engaged enough. You need to convince your friends, that they need to take actions on your Facebook updates. Here are few tips I’ve gathered, to help you get friends engaged in your posts:

#1. Show your real personality

There is more to this subheading. Showing your true personality is one of the key factors that can make a Facebook user like or comment on your status.

Facebook is a large community where people come to meet new friends and not robots. People want to chat with fellow human being, not a figure representing a human being.

Most people choose not to use their real image as their profile picture. Why? If I browse through your Facebook photos and find nothing related to your true image, I might  never like your updates let alone dropping a comment for you – because I don’t count you as a human being.

When you open a Facebook account new, Facebook itself would suggest you upload your profile picture, not a picture representing another thing. So, why would you use an image that is not related to you?

#2. Upload image

Research states that images on Facebook posts get 53% more likes and 104% more comments than an average post. Images are very powerful elements and are great to tell stories quickly. If you wouldn’t mind uploading  controversial images, it can also boost likes and comments.

I don’t remember the last time a friend posted a very controversial image; he needed to confess how the image got him massive likes and comments from different people. You need to test this out to know how powerful images are.

#3. Ask questions

Did you know that the most updates that attract likes and comments are those of questions? I’m very sure everybody has a different opinion. So, a single question thrown out to your followers/audience can get you as many comments and likes as possible.

For example, a Facebook user who has followers from different tribes can ask “What is cat called in your dialect?”. The chances are that he’s gonna get maximum comments from this update because most people would like to participate in giving an answer to the question.

Think of questions you can ask your followers, and post it as an update. If you understand your followers as football fans, a simple question like “Messi or Ronaldo, who is better?” can tell you how amazing it is to ask questions.

#4. Be specific

You need to stay tuned to whatever you post on Facebook. Get to know the posts that got you more likes and comment; probably, they are the kinds of updates your followers would like you to be posting. Stay specific to these kinds of post and your engagement chances will be very much high.

#5. Post at the right time

Times you post updates on Facebook also matters concerning engagements. You need not post any update when you understand that many of your followers would be at work or many of them might be sleeping.

Most of the times, Facebook brings new and fresh updates to users when the user refreshes his feeds; meaning that if you had posted at the wrong time (for example, when most of your followers are sleeping), it is very likely that your update might not be seen in their news feed.

So, targeting the right time for posting updates also helps in getting friends engaged in your Facebook posts.

#6. Offer contest giveaways

•  The first 20 to comment on this post will get free ebooks on “…”
• The 1^st, 5^th, 10^th, 15^th, and 20^th commenter that guess the score between Arsenal and Chelsea will win free recharge cards tonight

These kinds of the examples above could boost your followers’ appetite to comment under your post; even it could be the first time.

#7.  Frequency of posting

I see many people posting updates as many times as possible in a day. This isn’t right. How many posts do you want me to respond to per day when there are other users I need to respond to their own updates?

Limit your frequency of posting updates to a reasonable time. If it is just twice per day, it is okay as long as you get your followers well engaged enough.

#8. Post “fill in the gaps” updates

This looks like the engagement strategy that we discussed in #2, but there is a slight difference. #2 is a direct question to your follower, but here, you write an update that requires your followers to fill in the gap in your sentence.

You still don’t get what I’m trying to say? An example is when you post things like these:

·         The best time to take pap is ________. Each person has their own best times to take pap. So, people who take pap in the morning might comment “morning. Those who take is on summer period might comment “summer”…and so different answers would flow in your comment section.

#9. Call to action (like or comment contest)

If you have ever posted an update that calls your followers to like or comment on an update, you would understand the power of the call to action on Facebook updates.

For example, posting things like:

• Who tells lies mostly in a relationship? “Like” if men, “comment” if women. I’m sure that women would not want men to win them and vice versa. The more your followers reason this, the more you get likes from men and comments from women.
• "Like" this post, if you have ever run a risky race from the bathroom to where you forgot something. The more your followers like this post, the more you get comments from people who would like to share their experience running from the bathroom to where they forgot something.

#10. Facebook ads

This is the paid part of getting your friends engaged. When you do Facebook ads, your post update will be seen by so many audiences. A Facebook ad is done on a page. You create a new page, post your update there and boost the update.

However, you can link your Facebook ads to your personal account if you are really good at Facebook ads. This can as well give you massive friend requests (if your post is kind of interesting), and this way you get massive followers in return.

Conclusion:

The only way you could be getting maximum likes and comments is getting your friends well engaged in your Facebook posts or updates. Thank God that you’ve already learned new methods to get your friends well engaged. You could adopt any of these methods and see how powerful they are.

5 Main Reasons Why People Don’t Like or Comment On Your Facebook Posts

Isn’t it very annoying when you post a status update or upload pictures to Facebook, only to have no like or comment at the end? You have been posting for days now, but you get no comment. The only person or people that like your posts are the ones you know physically. Otherwise, the like and comment are from you the poster. Are people not seeing your posts? Absolutely NO, they do.

Some Facebook users are so that when they read an interesting story, they fall in love with, to tap or click on the “LIKE” button makes them feel uncomfortable. You cannot really refer this attitude as “hatred.” Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions. Even if you’ve got an amazing content on your wall; an interesting or touching story; an informative and educative content; or eye-catching pictures, you could still get absolutely no comment or like.

This particular issue has bothered me for years, which I finally gathered 7 reasons why people don’t comment or like whatever I post on Facebook. I would not actually be talking about Facebook groups and pages- concerning likes and comment, but a personal profile status update and pictures.

In this topic, I would be discussing

•   Why people don’t like and comment on your post.
•  What is “friend tagging”? Does it help?

Before I go on, answer this question. Do you think you're posting the right thing that can attract likes and comment?

Why people don’t like and comment on your post

There are tons of reasons why people actually don’t like or comment on your posts and pictures. Below are the main 5 reasons why you get no like or comment on your posts and pictures:

#1. You don’t have active followers

To be sincere, this is the primary reason why you get no like or comment on your posts and pictures. You don’t have followers, or they are not active. Who are your followers? As the name implies – your followers are the friends who follow you - they want to know what you do. They are those who see your updates (posts and pictures). Your updates appear in their news feed. You can see the numbers of your followers when you view your profile. It is on the right side of your profile, directly below your "Intro" or "About me" section.

Come to reason this, for example.  You have 1250 friends and 1000 friends either post an article, write a status update or upload pictures. Do you expect to see the entire article, status and the pictures from all the 1000 friends in your news feed? Never, you can’t see all even you load your news feed for 2 years. Hence, those that you see their updates (article, status or pictures) are the ones you follow.

Same thing applies to those who follow you. Your updates appear in their news feed. So when you have fewer followers, it’s obvious that you might not get comment or likes on your updates.

Also, you have a good number of followers but yet, get no like or comment. It may mean they are not active. They are not active in the sense that,

• ·         They don’t come online at the right time (especially for long).
•       They come online, but they don’t check their news feed. They only come online to reply to messages and check new notifications.

Knowing these facts, how do you get many followers? You get followers in different ways. I have highlighted 2 ways here:

·         When someone sends you a friend request, he/she automatically follows you. This is a default setting by Facebook. However, the person may choose to unfollow you if he/she likes.

·         When someone comments very frequently on your update, they become your follower. They receive notifications on some of your actions on Facebook.

However, you might also automatically lose these followers if you don’t feed them with what they like. You might also lose them if they no more react on your updates. Therefore, keep your followers by giving them what they want.

#2. Your followers don’t want you to know they are watching you

It could be your teacher, your parent or someone else. They don’t just comment nor like your update because they don’t want you to know that they are following you. They are waiting for the day you would fumble as a Facebook friend said.

He said, “When you update a status that you just returned from church, fewer people would like this. But when you pose with a normal cigarette or smoke coming from your mouth, you would know people are watching you.

Obviously, it is true. Some of your followers would not like nor comment on your updates until you do something wrong so they can tackle or correct you. They are only following you to see every of your actions. Hence, you get no comments nor like from this group of people.

#3. You don’t post meaningful content

How can I like or comment on a post that talks about what doesn’t interest me? People would only like or leave a comment on what is meaningful to them. Your followers are football fans, but your posts always talk about religion and politics every time. How would you get likes or comments? Religion and politics might not be meaningful to them, and hence, you get no like or comment.

That is why you need to understand your followers. Which of your posts ever got the highest likes and comment? This post is what is meaningful to your followers. They are interested in this kind of post. Did you observe why you got massive likes on a particular picture? What are people saying about your updates? You need to study this; it is meaningful to your followers (if not all your friends). This is how you can understand your followers.

Some people go to the extent of copying someone’s posts and pasting them on their own wall. Well, in this case, I can’t blame them although I don’t recommend this. Probably, it works for them. They have understood their followers.

#4. You are not consistent

This is one of the top ways to lose followers automatically. When you do switch off-switch on; you come online for a while and go offline for months, you will easily loose followers, and this means fewer people will see your updates.

Perhaps you are online consistently, and you rarely feed your followers; you don’t usually write a status, post an article or upload pictures, you are at a high risk of losing your followers. In fact, your current followers can also lose interest in your updates since they know it’s a once in a blue moon thing. This gives them a wrong impression about their interaction with you. Therefore, they might not like to tap the like button or leave a comment on your updates.

#5. You are not friendly enough or sound harsh to friends (especially new friends)

Facebook is an enormous platform where you meet different people from different angles. You're not only connected to people around you or your state or country. You're connected to the whole world as a whole. You can be a friend to people in anywhere in the world. Peoples’ opinion is different too, don’t forget.

The way you react to people who are not related to you by tribe, religion or any other factor really matters a lot. Do you respond to messages well enough in your inbox? Do you give a thumb up to people who deserve it? Do you also appreciate the work of others? Do you also like and leave meaningful comments on excellent posts? Remember, what you do to others shall be done unto you too.

If you have once spoken ill to online friends, they may decide to unfollow you. If they don’t, they may not want to like or comment on your updates anymore.

Someone sends you a friend request and after accepting the request, he/she says “thank you for accepting me”. I believe 90% people would ignore this. Why? Instead of ignoring such person, why can’t you just reply him/her “welcome”? I hear some people don’t reply to messages like “hi”, “hello”, “What’s up”, that they want people to go straight to the point. Why? It is very rude to read messages without replying. Everyone’s opinion is different, and you have to respect each person’s opinion.

It is when you are friendly enough to someone that he/she will like to read what you post. It will be very difficult for those who you're not friendly enough with to click on the “continue reading” or the “read more” button, let alone trying to like or leave a comment for you.

Now, you know reasons why people don’t like or comment on your updates. “Followers” are the main people who can like or comment on your updates. However, some people help their post reach many audiences (who are not their followers) by tagging their own friends.

What is Facebook tagging?

Tagging on Facebook is a special feature that lets you point to someone you're with. For example, tagging people on a picture upload can show who is in the picture. It makes them (people you tag) receive notification about your update.

Does tagging really help?

People use tagging for the sole aim of making their updates reach many audiences in two ways. One is, the friends who are not your followers but tagged will receive notification about the tag. Hence, they are aware of what you posted. It is now left for them whether to like the post or leave a comment or not. Initially, if these people are not tagged, they might not see the update at all.

Secondly, when you tag Mr. A who is your friend, Mr. B who is not your friend might see the update simply because he is a friend to Mr. B. The below screenshot should help interpret my point.

Therefore, we can generally conclude that tagging at least a friend can help you create much awareness and can earn more likes and comment for a post.

On the other hand, tagging might drastically cause a great harm to your profile. How? Like I said earlier, everyone is entitled to his/her own opinions. It’s not everybody that likes to receive notifications about tagging. It bothers some people a lot to have unchecked notifications. How would you feel when you go offline a few minutes ago with no unchecked notification, and you come back online to see 10 new notifications that are about only tagging? Some people tag friends unnecessarily. They tag people to what doesn’t interest them.

It annoys some people when you tag them to what they have no business with. So, they either don’t check the notification or they check and click on the back button immediately without giving the update any like or comment. When you now tag them frequently, it makes them feel uncomfortable and some can to the extent of unfriending you or blocking you. Some might even report you to Facebook, and this is very dangerous.

The idea is now left to you, whether to tag a particular friend or not. Haven’t you seen someone having much likes and comments without tagging a single friend? How do they do it? How To Add Facebook Like Box and Twitter (Follow and Tweet) Buttons To Blogger Blog

If you watch right at this blog's sidebar, you should see a widget I created for Facebook Like Box and Twitter quick buttons. It allows my blog's users to like my blog's Facebook page and follow my page with just a click, and without redirecting them to Facebook and Twitter.

Now that Google starts to punish bloggers who have pop-ups on their blogs, this is another way to get people like and follow your blog easily. It's straightforward and easy. It's  a widget that you'd just add and paste some codes in it. After installation, the widget should look like the one below:

You want to have it on your blog too? Follow these steps below:

Step 1 >>> On your blogger dashboard, go to Layout and select "add a widget" exactly where you want this widget to show. For my blog, I chose the sidebar

Step 2 >>> A new window displays, select "Html/Javascript" as seen below :

Step 3 >>> Give it the title you want or leave blank if you don't want any. I gave mine "Follow us on Facebook/Twitter." Then paste following code in the "content" area

How To Auto Use Hash Tag For Your Blog Feeds On Facebook And Twitter

Hashtags are the Pound signs (#) plus a word phrase that follows social medias updates and are click-able, exactly like a link. Did you know they are very useful for your updates and blog posts?

Twitter was the first known social media to introduce Hash tags, which when clicked, would lead the user to other tweets that have the same hash tags in them. For example, (#EasyMadeBlog). Now tell me, can you click on any ordinary character like that? Twitter made hash tags a way to join or search for a conversation. Did you know that other social medias like Facebook now use it?

Have you ever seen some blog posts on my Facebook timeline that display with Hashtags? Now, why do I use it?

What are the uses of Hashtags? 

• Search or read more conversation on a particular topic

If you go to my Facebook wall, you would see some of my blog"s feeds with hash tags. If you click on these hash tags, it will take you to some more updates that have the same hash tags. So you can easily find my blog posts of the same relevance.

• Compile tips or facts related to my blog niche 

Most of the hashtags you'd find on my wall are strictly based on the blog's niche. It really showcases my niche, even I don't tell anyone. It's just like a niche branding 

I don't really want to talk too much about the benefits of hashtags because this post is not really concerned about that. So let's move on to how you can auto use it in your feeds. 

What are feeds? 

Your blog posts are basically your feeds. There are so many tools for bloggers to auto post their blog post (called feeds) to social networks. Just to mention few are Twitterfeeds and HootSuite.

But did you know you can auto post your feeds alongside with Hashtags? It is really possible with Feedburner by Google. And thus is what you're here to know.

Getting started with the auto use of hashtags: 

If you've not created any feed on Feedburner before, you can follow these steps:

Step 1 >>> Go to feedburner.com 

Step 2 >>> Feedburner is owned by Google. So, you need to sign in with your Google account (Gmail and password) 

Step 3 >>> On the landing page, type your blog's address in the box provided. See screenshot below:

Step 4 >>> You'd be asked to select one option for the type of feed you want, just leave it as default and click on next as seen below:

Step 5 >>> After your feed is successfully created, click on the publicize button at the top menu bar, then click on socialize as seen below:

Step 6 >>> A new window where you can configure how you want your feeds to be published displays. Click on each feature and see the preview box at the bottom to preview your actions. 

Step 7 >>> Click on the "Hash Tag" menu, and select "choose hashtags from categories." Check the small box below it to preview your changes, and select your choice. 

That is how I made each of my blog posts to appear on Twitter with Hashtags. 

To now make it also on Facebook,

You need to link your Twitter to Facebook. After successful linking, check your Facebook wall to confirm if it's working.

How To Download Videos On Facebook Directly To Your Android Devices

Did you know that so many Facebook users find it difficult to download videos directly to their mobile phones? It's very straightforward and easy, and that's what I'm here today to teach you.

How To Hide Facebook Chats Of Specific Persons From Your Friends Or Intruders

Most people do not like the idea of giving their friends their phones in other to avoid them going through their Facebook chats. Many relationships are broken today, simply because suspicious chats are found on the partner's account.

Here comes a simple Facebook trick you can use to hide a specific chat you don't want anyone to see - Only you can view it. Be rest assured, this trick will not even temporarily delete your chats with the person (let alone permanently). The Facebook feature will only hide the chat until you're ready to chat with the person again. So, now follow the Easy-made steps below:

If you're using Facebook Messenger, follow these steps :

Step 2 >>> At the top right corner of the chat you opened, you'll find a small gear icon (settings). Click on this. 

Step 3 >>> Then, select archive. 

That's all. 

You've just hidden your conversation with someone from your friend.
